Now an extra special plea. Greyhound Gap are at crisis point at their kennels. They have had to close their doors to any new hounds. We all know what this could mean for a lot of hounds. If you could spare a few pennies please drop in to their site (their button is on the right of my blog page). They also are in desperate need of volunteers to help at the kennels, do home checks, etc., so if you think you might be able to help please get in touch with them. If anyone could foster a hound or two or even better give a forever home that would be great as then they can take some more hounds in.

So how is everyone? I hope you are all doing fine. Too many beloved dogs have gone to The Bridge recently, so you all make sure you give yours an extra long hug.

Wish we lived close, so we could physically help out.
ReplyDeletegyeong, That's really kind of you. I don't live near the kennels and don't have a car, so can't physically help. I have put some things on Ebay with the money goinbg to GAP.
ReplyDeleteI'll pop over now Aunty Song. Maybe we could do some meet & greet... Deccy x
ReplyDeleteNephew, Any help would be rteally appreciated by GAP.
ReplyDeleteI wish we lived close enough to volunteer! Hopefully things will get better soon!
ReplyDeletehoundstooth, That's really nice of you. You know I think doggie people are the best in the world. The forum for Greyhound Gap has had endless posts where people are volunteering to do something or other.
ReplyDeleteDitto, would certainly love to help. We've had similar situations here but they've always worked out. One thing that is always needed is more foster carers! I'd love to foster but I'm sure I'd fail! I hope things improve for your GAP soon.
ReplyDeleteGreyhouns CAN Sit, Thanks. It is amazing how people are rallying round. I'd also love to be able to foster, but I think they'd all end up staying:)
ReplyDeleteI see Greyhound Gap is nominated in a Facebook poll to win £300 to spend on VetUK and PetUK products. They were in the lead earlier tonight, but the Oldies Club has just overtaken them... both good causes, I know.
ReplyDeleteIf people are on Facebook can they LIKE the VetUK page and vote in the March charity poll? The direct link is here if you can read it and copy and paste.

Winnie, Thanks for the link. Only found out about it this morning myself.
