Yesterday and today are sunny and dry. If it wasn't for the nippy wind it would be (dare I say) too hot. Yesterday was spent in my dad's garden, soaking up the warmth.

This morning I walked Song up the farm track. House Martins, Swifts and Swallows are arriving here now and they were skimming the fields for bugs.

Think although they are indoors the strange weather has upset my plants, as my African Violets are flowering yet again and my Cactus has given me two lovely flowers, even though it flowered well earlier in the year. Still I am not complaining, as it's nice to see the colours.

Song was tired out after her walk and after a quick play with her squeakies, she flopped out:)

Weather after today is supposed to go cold and wet. Song and I are sure hoping summer comes soon and we have a nice long one.

Hope you are all doing ok. Remember to hug your hound/s.

  1. Yes it's been sunny and dry here too Sue, I managed to have a lovely run in the sunshine, at the tennis courts, yesterday and I have made sure that Mum has got all of my washing done! Deccy x

  2. Sounds like you and Song had a lovely day and walk. I've always wanted to see House Martins, we don't have them here. Your flowers are beautiful!

  3. Nephew, You are lucky to be allowed on the tennis courts. We aren't allowed here:(

Glad you have fresh bedding now.

Hiking Hounds, In the village we have maninly Swifts, but the House Martins are around. Don't usually see Swallows in the village, so it was nice to see them over the fields.

  4. That walk sounds lovely! I don't think we have Swifts or Martins around here. Our weather has been pretty nice this Spring! We've had a few hot days, but not too many. We're hoping for a nice summer where we can stand to go outdoors, instead of the beastly heat we had last year!

  7. houndstooth, It would be nice to have a summer that wasn't baking and that lasted for more than a couple of weeks.

Winnie, Sure sign that summer is on it's way.

What Remains Now, Thanks and Song says thanks:)

  8. The summers here are so hot and humid, the kids only leave the house to go potty, then come right back in. Hope it will be milder this year.

  10. Hi Sue and Song, sorry I've been a stranger lately but I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things! So glad Song is better. Beryl is limping a bit tonight, sore after her run at the beach today. But she'd say it's worth it:) Maggie is looking very well, she's such a cutie. I've got a real soft spot for Staffys. You've been very busy with your cards. They look so good:) Hope the sun is shining for you now. Autumn is nearly over here but we've had a fantastic one, so we should after the lousy Summer. I wonder what Winter will be like?
