Well despite a forecast of showers this afternoon, it stayed dry and sunny most of the day. Been out in my dad's garden most of the day. song is one happy mutt:) Here is dad's other two Butterfly Bushes. The new flower bed. Hopefully next year the plants will have grown and you won;t see so much of the earth. Broom in bloom. Honeysuckle which is almost over. Even the weeds are prettty:) Dad has six tubs with Fuscias in. See my dad has his priorities right. He has his chair near to his work:) Maggie and Song have a catch up. Hope you all have a fab weekend.

I hope you are all having a good week. It's been lovely here, but too hot to do much outside. Forecast says it will be cooler after today and turning showery by the weekend. Song and I would like to welcome our new follower. Here are some photos I took the other day in my dad's garden. The first is of the new flower patch my dad is doing. Next year there will be climing roses up the arch. These next two are of the Butterfly Bush. Dad has three different colour of this bush, but this is the first one out so far. Here's Song and Maggie enjoying the garden. Maggie enjoying a treat. Song in the shade. Song in the sun. Luckily she will get up and move into the shade when she get's too hot. I have put some recent cards up on my PurplePoppy Crafting page.

This morning I met up with a friend I'd not seen for some time and we headed off to Old Hunstanton, which is a small village about 15 minutes drive away. We went to the Flower Festival and Fete at St. Mary's church. Not only is this church beautiful it was the church where my mum as a young girl sang in the choir and where my parents got married. The first six photos are not mine, but I wanted you to see this beautiful old church in all it's glory. This is a lovely old cottage by the church. These two displays were in the porch of the church. The theme for the displays in the church were A Year To Remember. The displays covered famous dates in history like 1066 Battle of Hastings, Wimbledon, Suffraget Movement, First flight into space, Titanic, This is a dress made from flowers and foliage. A view of the aisle up to the alter. The stunning stained glass windows behind the alter.

Song and I are hoping you are enjoying your weekend. We have a beautiful sunny day here. Bed linen out on the lines so that should get dry quickly. I had a lay in this morning, which Song didn't appreciate. She likes going for her walk around 7.30am, so she woke me up at that time to tell me so:) When we did go out we went round by the village pond. No end of ducks and pretty much all were sleeping. Think the weather for the week ahead is changable, but we are almost use to that now. Doesn't look like we are going to get a proper summer. Well you take care.

Well we have a lovely sunny and warm day here. Needless to say everyone is getting their washing out. I've put two lots out and at last my laundry basket is empty. Would normally be at my dad's today, but woke feeling very unwell with sickness a dizziness. Thought it was a bug, as my dad's had this for the past couple of days. As I also get Vertigo, thought I'd take one of my tablets and within the hour I was much better. Still feel a bit like I am on the deck of a rolling ship, but the sickness has gone. I have put a couple of photos of two recent cards on my PurplePoppy Crafting page. Well I hope you are having the weather you want and that you are looking forward to a nice weekend. This was Song this morning waiting to go for her walk. I was late with nopt feeling so good.
