Baby It's Cold Out There

Well as the title of the post says, Baby it's Cold Out There.  We had frost first thing, but a sunny and dry day.  Will soon have to look out scarves and hats, but for now gloves are sufficient.

Definitely weather for hugging your hound.

Well I thought it was time life returned to normal, whatever that is:)

My mum's funeral was Monday.  The vicar was lovely and even made us laugh at his recounting of mum whizzing along on her mobility scooter:)

The various flowers I had are down to just two vases now as I have had to throw some out, but they have all done over two weeks, so really good.

I was completely blown away by all the lovely messages, cards, texts and emails.  It made a very sad time easier to cope with.

Here are the lovely flowers I had.

I have added some photos to my PurplePoppy Crafting page.

Now you go and hug your hound/s.

Sadly my lovely mum passed away Thursday morning.  Luckily by chance my brother and sister-in-law were having a few days here, so they got to see her the day before when she was livelier than she'd been for a while.

My mum had been in a care home for just over 7 years as she had dementia.

When I got the phone call from the home on Thursday, Roger and I dashed over and got to see her just before she passed.

I've tried to take photos of photos, so they are a bit fuzzy.

This is a photo of my mum, but it could be me at the same age.

Mum as a young woman.

Mum & Dad's Wedding 19th August, 1950

My brothers wedding to Jill.  A very happy day for my mum.

Mum & Dad on their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

I don't know when this photo was taken, but I love it.  Mum and dad have been married for 63 years this past August.

Miss you mum, but will always have you in my heart.
