WOYWW 2nd July

Here is my WOYWW (What's On Your Workbench Wednesday).  If you want to know more about this weekly event, take a look at Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

Carrying on from last weeks WOYWW post, here are two of the boxes with the ribbons in.

I was talking with my dad and said I could do with a label thingy.  He disappeared into the garage and came back with one and a load of tape.  So here are the boxes labeled up.  There's actually three boxes, but I hadn't realised I'd only photographed two.

I have one empty box, so of course I'll have to buy some more ribbons:)  I am hoping to go to The Range Thursday after a hospital appointment, so will see what I  can find.  I have loads of ribbons, not just in these boxes, but hey I know you'll agree we can never have enough:)

Hope you have a fab WOYWW.

  2. My problem is I never seem to have REELs of ribbon, just yardage. But the boxes do look mighty handy for other things. Cheers for the tip.

    Happy WOYWW!

  3. Ooh you buy ribbon on spools..have you seen Brenda's Giraffe storage..it's lovely. Boxes are nice and practical and if you could see my ribbon arrangement, you'd howl in disgust. I might show you next week...depends how strong I'm feeling in terms of shrugging off all the advice and brickbats!!

  7. I like that way to keep your ribbon, Sue. Keeps all the different reels visible. Mine get a bit jumbled 'cos the boxes are too wide. Must see what I can do....
Enjoy your visit to the Range!!

  8. It feels so good to get those items organized and to still be able to see through the plastic to see what's in the box!

  10. Helen & Mary Ane, I have loads of oddments as well and store them in various ways. See my WOYWW 5th March.

    Robyn, Thanks you too.

Gillian, I always do enjoy going to The Range:) Have to admit there's not much I need, but as we all know it's not what we need:)

Laura, Thank you. I knew you'd agree:)

Margaret, Maybe you could add some cardboard to hold the ribbons better and in the little space left over put some reels, like I have along the side.

Hazel, I hate having things away in boxes and cupboards, as I forget what I've got. Trouble is I don't have a separate craft room, so have to keep tidy.

    Robyn, Thank you:)

  15. Anne, Maybe we should start a Ribbons Anonymous group:)

houndstooth, Grow it will. When I started I only had one box with all my crafting stuff in. Now that one box won't even hold my ribbons, let alone everything else:)

Angela, I like to be tidy:)

  18. Hi Sue,

Like most everything else, ribbon seems to pile up at my house. I like the orange/yellow tape the label maker uses. I bought a label maker but it's not heavy duty so I haven't used it much at all.

Love the paw prints for your background!

    Happy belated WOYWW

  19. Kay, The label maker dad gave me is a very heavy duty one. Lukcily he had loads of spare tape, as I'm not sure I could get it now for this machine.

Thank you. I thought as my blog is mainly for dog talk it was appropriate.

    Thanks for stopping by.
