Alas Poor Wubba

Alas Poor Wubba.  This is a Kong Wubba that I bought for my first Greyhound Song.  It was the only squeaky that kept it's squeak, so although it wasn't cheap it worked out a good buy.

It was fine until it met Honey.  She made it her job to get the outer fur undone and to take the ball out.

Wubba without it's ball.

She has the ball in her bed.

We hope you are all having a lovely Easter.  Don't forget to hug your hound/s.

  3. Poor Wubba. Any stuffed toy we get - the first thing to go are the eyes. Then the stuffing gets pulled out through the eyes. We have many a furry carcass lying around used for tug of war. lol

  4. April, Stuffing pulled out through the eyes........What kind of monsters do you have:)

Honey now loves the empty Wubba and shakes it to an inch of it's life:)

  5. My guys are not into pulling out the squeakier...they really love squeaking their toys way too much to do the surgery! I find it interesting how the ball is in Honey's bed! I do find it interesting that you've had wubba since the days of Song!

  6. Hazel, Honey has chomped on the ball so much, the squeaker is now loose inside it.

It was one of Song's favourite toys, because it kept squeaking:)

  7. I can't tell you how much we have spent on toys for this Keeshond pup we have now. Everything gets eaten, eyes, legs and ears are the worst! I have cut and sewed till I'm tired of it and she just does it again. She knows it's wrong and sometimes they last a few weeks if you keep reminding her, then one day.....ugh..........

  8. Sue, I have found the Kong toys whilst expensive last the longest. When a soft stuffie is too far gone to repair any more, I put it inside an old sock and tie a knot. My girls play with that as much as the toys that are still ok.

  9. Yes, Cali loves her Wubbas but Roxi loves to destroy them. We have 'heads' and 'butts' and other random pieces hanging around.

  10. Trina, We have the various heads, butts, etc. Always look in charity shops for safe stuffies.
