WOYWW 6th May

Here is my WOYWW (What's On Your Workbench Wednesday).  If you want to know more about this weekly event, take a look at Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

This week I have four Toppers with the theme Men's Hobbies.

At first I was going to put Washi tape on all of them.

Then I decided these two were fine with the Washi tape.

Here you can see the cycling topper has a ribbon and the tennis topper has blue rickrack.

Hope you all have a happy WOYWW.

  7. LLJ, I am a Washi tape addict:)

    BJ, Thank you.

    Gabrielle, Thank you.

    Mrs. C, Thank you.

Angela, ATCs are one thing I don't do. Just don't have the room to keep those I receive. Prefer things I can use.

Darnell, Thank you for your kind comment.

  8. The name "Washi" is interesting... is it a type or a brand name?

  9. Hazel, Washi tape is typically made from natural fibers, such as bamboo or hemp, but most commonly from the bark of trees that are native to Japan — the mulberry, the mitsumata shrub or the gampi tree. Most washi tapes are strong (as strong as duct tape in some cases!) and functional as well as pretty, making them wonderful for both everyday and decorative use (From SheKnows web site).

  10. The masculine toppers look fantastic! I can hardly wait to see how you complete them. Would you believe I don't own any washii tape? How creative to use it in the manner you have. Sue, have a great week-end. hugs, de

  11. Donna, The Toppers go off to my swap partner as they are, so it's up to them to use them as they want.

  12. The Washi tape certainly looked super with these particular toppers. The patterns put me in mind of the Nascar racing emblems that we see here in the USA. Very effective details to the very masculine images. Well done! TFS & Happy wkend.

  13. MaryH, Thank you.

Washi tape comes in endless designs. Also you can lift it off if you haven't pressed it down too much and reposition it.
