WOYWW 16th December

Here is my WOYWW (What's On Your Workbench Wednesday).  If you want to know more about this weekly event, take a look at Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

Today I have two paper flower wreaths that I made when at my friends.

Then I made these the other day.

This is what I did with them.

Lastly an Infinity Scarf I crocheted a couple of evenings ago.  It's made using a frilled ribbon yarn.  It's long enough to go round three times.

Happy WOYWW.

  1. Oh, that wreath is pretty! And the other paper crafts too. I think I'd probably enjoy having a go at that :-). And I really love your infinity cowl..pretty yarn... I bet that'll keep you warm this winter!
I'm looking for a new charity to do stuff for. Do you ever need anything for the Greyhound charity you support?

  3. Wow, those are beautiful things! I love the scarf. I have something similar.
The origami is beautiful. Do you know if there is a tutorial on the internet on those? I have been looking but don't quite know what to search for.... are they stars? All I can say is: yours are stunning!
Have a great week and don't get too stressed,

  5. LLJ, Thank you.

That is so kind of you. The local branch of the RGT (Retired Greyhound Trust) is always after things for raffle prizes. I can get the ladies address, so you could send things directly to her. Just let me know.

Sofie, Don't know origami, but my friend showed me how to make them.

Lisca, Thank you. My friend showed me how to make the stars, but this video on YouTube looks the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7eCK2t40s9U

    Glenda, Thank you.

  14. To answer your question, Sue, the dresses were from a one year project I created called "Dress Up, 2010." If you would like to see how I created them, please go to my "Previous Collaborations" page at the top of my blog. You'll have to scroll down quite a way, but there's an icon of a dress. Mine were the only ones that were decorated on both sides. I had never made a dress before, but these were so much fun, I'd love to do it again.

Each month opens in a new window if you want to see how I made them and the materials I used. Although most people used paper only, I often added fabric to mine.

    Thanks for asking.

  16. Wow, Sue you have been busy. Love the paper flowers, and the scarf is gorgeous. I used to crochet but everything took a backseat when I started stamping and making cards. What a nice gift the scarf would make. Stay warm.

    Hugs
    Sue

  18. The wreaths are so pretty...I especially love that wonderful red! And what skill to make such a beautiful scarf, and useful too! Bet it will feel so cozy on a frosty morning. Merry Christmas to you & the 'girls'. Hope Santa brings lots of goodies too. Hugs & TFS

  19. MaryH, Thank you. It's been mild here, so haven't used the scarf yet.

Hope you have a lovely Christmas.

  20. Hi Sue, hope your chilly wind will die down so you & the girls can enjoy some pleasant walkies. We arrived safely last evening, and found that one of the greys is a bit puny. Been not eating and listless since Friday (DD works the wkend). So Dallas, Mom & Granddad have gone to the vets to see what is amiss. Others are just fine - thank goodness. It's pleasantly warm here, although it was a chilly 28F when we left home yesterday morning. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year...TFS & Hugs too!

  21. MaryH, Well we had milder weather, but today the wind is bitter.

Hope the Grey will be ok.

You have a lovely Christmas as well.

  22. This grey (Dallas) is still at the vets. Xrays made..not sure exactly what is the problem. This particular poochie has had lots of disasters, most due to her habit of eating whatever. Possible that she's eaten a Christmas ornament hook (but DD doesn't think she has), and even though some xrays were made, nothing definitive...so more this afternoon. Hoping it won't be bad or unhappy news. The other 2 are behaving nicely & quietly, and the doxie just hops around to see what the others are up to. Glad you are having some milder weather and hope you and the girls can stay out of the wind. Hugs.

  23. MaryH, My girls and I are keeping our fingers crossed for Dallas.

Weather has gone colder. Can't get use to some days mild and then some cold and then back to mild.
