Hope you have had a good week.  For those affected by snow, whether here or across the pond you stay safe and warm.

My girls don't like this cold weather.  They do love snuggling up in their pjs.  Polly is in the red one with stars and Honey is in the pink camo.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend.

WOYWW 21st January, 2015

Here is my WOYWW (What's On Your Workbench Wednesday).  If you want to know more about this weekly event, take a look at Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

These four Toppers were for a swap where the theme was monochrome.  We had to use white or cream and one other colours.

I made this bookmark for a swap where we got sent a stamp and had to use it.  I got this lovely bird, which I think is a Swallow.  The text says, One Swallow does not a summer make.

This is one of the cards now made up that I showed last WOYWW.

This is another of the cards from last weeks WOYWW now made up.

Hope you have a happy WOYWW.

Polly & Honey

Well I have now had Honey for ten days.  It's like she's always been here.  No accidents indoors and she's fitted in to Polly and my routine very well.  As our routine involves a fair bit of down time, they are both very happy.

More than once Honey has tried to get Polly to play, which she does but then gets worried and growls, so Honey backs off.  They'll get it sorted.

A couple of times I have taken Honey out for a pit stop on her own and when we've come back in Polly has come up to greet her.

Polly still won't let Honey up on my bed, but Honey seems happy enough in the dog bed.  She usually comes to me before I get up and puts her front half on the bed and has a cuddle with me.

Honey seems to have realised now I don't want her trying to eat my food and she has a look and then goes and lays down.

Walks are getting better, as Honey isn't swapping sides and getting the leads all tied up as much.  She tends to walk beside Polly now.

Honey is a tail wagger.  Well actually it goes round and round.  More than once she's hit something too hard and made herself scream.  She then sits down and then lays down cowering.  Think she thinks I have hurt her.  The cowering is just pitiful, but as soon as I pat her and talk to her she's fine.  Even Polly goes to her to check she's ok.

Looking on the Greyhound Database I found out Honey's birthday is 8th February, when she'll be 4.  Polly's birthday is 1st March and she'll be 8.  Honey's racing name was Zoos Samba Beat.

Well I hope you have a good week.  Don't forget to hug your hound/s.

Honey's first roach.

Polly cuddling Teddy.

Honey in the big bed.

You can see here that she is underweight.  Hopefully she'll gain a few pounds.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.  Remember to hug your hound/s.

WOYWW 14th January, 2015

Here is my WOYWW (What's On Your Workbench Wednesday).  If you want to know more about this weekly event, take a look at Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

All I have on my desk today are the makings for some birthday cards, a get well card and four toppers.  The first photo is the beginnings of a project for a swap, where I have to use the stamp that was sent to me.  Haven't made my mind up yet exactly what I will make.

Happy WOYWW.

Sweet As Honey

Polly and I would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family.

This is Honey.  She's such a happy girl and wags her tail all the time.  She was born February 2011.  I don't know the actual date, so it will be 1st February.

I first saw her yesterday when I went with my friend for her to look at another black girl at the rescue kennels.  Honey was in the next run and as soon as I saw her, I knew she was the one.  I took Polly to meet her this afternoon.  They got on fine.

This is Honey.  I've had to put different coloured collars on, as even I am having a job telling them apart:)  they both have white socks, white tail tip, white on their chests, same coloured eyes and even a similar greying on their faces.  Honey is a bit taller than Polly.

Here they are side by side.  Honey has the blue collar, Polly the red.

On my desk are three cards I made by just stamping Greyhounds onto a white card.

I hope you all have a happy WOYWW.

Polly and I hope 2015 is going good for you.

Hope you like the change in music to some of my favourite Whitney Houston songs.

As you can see Polly has started the New Year as she means to go on.

Sadly three of my friends have had to send their dog to The Bridge recently.  Polly and I are sending special hugs to (((Di & George))), (((Sue & Eric))) and (((Hilary))).  We all know the total sadness from the loss of a pet and only time really helps.  Remember as each dog passes a piece of our heart goes with them, but they in turn leave a part of theirs.

My friend Hilary gave me this beautiful Greyhound Angel.  Whenever I look at it, I will remember all the dogs that are now waiting at the Bridge for their owners.

Hope you all have a good week.  Remember to hug your hound/s.
