WOYWW 29th April, 2015

Here is my WOYWW (What's On Your Workbench Wednesday).  If you want to know more about this weekly event, take a look at Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

I wasn't going to take part this week, as I hadn't got anything to show, but then I remembered I had started to get some cards put together.  So this is as far as I have got.  Hopefully I will have some if not all finished to show next WOYWW.

Happy WOYWW.

Snoozing

Hope you are all having a good weekend.

My girls think they aren't getting enough beauty sleep, so they made a point of snoozing whenever they can.

Honey with her new stuffie - Teddy.  He's a snuggle stuffie, rather than a play one.

Honey keeping hold of the stuffie Puppy.

Polly roaching.  Looks uncomfortable.  Rudi (Reindeer) the snuggle stuffie in that bed has been forgotten.

Polly showing the dog bed just isn't big enough:)  She was taking up only half of it:)

Well you all take care and don't forget to hug your hound/s.

Why Greyhounds?

After reading a fab post on Tales and Tails (http://talesandtails.com/) it got me thinking about how I came to have my first Greyhound Song and how that led to me having Polly and recently Honey.

Poppy my Jack Russel was a perfect dog for me.  You may wonder why when she went to The Bridge, I chose to get a Greyhound.  Simple answer is I had always loved the breed.

The first time I saw Song, she was completely shut down and when I walked her she plodded beside me with her head down.  After also walking a couple of large boys, I stood outside Song's kennel and she looked up and that was the second I fell in love.  They brought her to me two weeks later when she had finished her season.  They home checked me and then brought her in.  It was her 6th birthday.

Those of you who have been visiting my blog know that Song was a spook dog.  She was terrified of men, although instantly liked my dad and very anxious when left alone in my flat.  It  took months to see her actually open up and enjoy life.  It  took almost a year for her to realise what joys could be had from playing with a stuffy.  Sadly I lost her far too soon and my heart was shattered.

My dad suggested I ring the rescue kennels where I got Song from and see what they had.  I was told they had a nice black girl.  When they brought Polly to meet me, she came up to me and leaned against me.  I knew instantly that she was coming home with me.  Actually it was two weeks before I went to collect her, as she was in season.  Polly is different to Song in many ways, but it's those ways that mended my heart.

Now I also have Honey.  She is so different to Song and Polly.  She soon learnt the joy playing with stuffys can give and takes great delight in tossing them and chasing them.  She is very much like a very large puppy:)

There are so many Greyhounds needing homes, yet each of mine have picked me and I am so grateful they did.

WOYWW 15th April

Here is my WOYWW (What's On Your Workbench Wednesday).  If you want to know more about this weekly event, take a look at Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

My friend sent me this image and I had fun colouring them in.

Made these two cards up with bits I had laying around.

This card was made for a Swap where the theme was China.  It could the country or anything to do with China.  I chose this image as it has a teacup and teapot.

Happy WOYWW.

Music

Hope all my blogging friends are having a good week.  Ok it's only Tuesday, but that means we are closer to the weekend than we were yesterday:)

I have changed the music on here.  You now have three Eva Cassidy songs courtesy of YouTube.  They are Fields Of Gold, Songbird and In The Arms Of An Angel.  Hope you like them.

Should you not want to hear the music you can pause it (top left).  If you want it louder you can turn your own sound up, but also you can move the slider on the right hand side along further.  It's set at 50% by default.

Good morning to our blogging friends.

You can see in this photo of Polly roaching the new rugs I bought to go under the dog beds.  Rather colourful, but they do the job well of protecting the carpet/mats underneath the beds.

Honey looking out of the window.

We hope you all have a nice day.  Don't forget to hug your hound/s.

Alas Poor Wubba

Alas Poor Wubba.  This is a Kong Wubba that I bought for my first Greyhound Song.  It was the only squeaky that kept it's squeak, so although it wasn't cheap it worked out a good buy.

It was fine until it met Honey.  She made it her job to get the outer fur undone and to take the ball out.

Wubba without it's ball.

She has the ball in her bed.

We hope you are all having a lovely Easter.  Don't forget to hug your hound/s.
