Sue's RAK (Random Act of Kindness) Group

I run a group on Facebook called Sue's RAK (Random Act of Kindness) Group.
This group is for people who would like to send out small random acts of kindness.

Monthly, members can add their name to a post, if they'd like to take part.  Then you will be emailed a RAK Pal to send a little gift to.  Your RAK Pal is another member of the group. The gift can be handmade or not and I suggest small in size (to save on postage) and small in cost if bought.

The group is open to anyone, anywhere. The only thing I ask is everyone has to send me the details I request (name, address and birthday (only date and month) by Private Message or to my email.I have stated that all members must do this within one week. I have done this because the group is Private/Closed and it is not right that members can look at the group and not actually be full members.

If you are interested you can email me at songsongblue@live.co.uk or private message me on Facebook.  I am sue.dyer.7 and my avatar is of my two Greyhounds, one wearing a blue harness an the other a red one.

A die cut decoupage topper I made at my friends crafting morning.  I've not put it onto a card yet.

I made this topper at my friends and then found the card and got it finished at home..

This is the last die cut topper I made at my friends and then made it into a card at home.

A card I made for a swap and then I realised it should be four toppers.

The four toppers.  The theme was it had to have glitter and gems on them.  There are gems, but they aren't showing up very well.  I used glitter tape along the bottom of each topper.

Polly's 6th Gotcha Day - 15th September, 2018

I can't believe it was six years ago today that I brought Polly home.  Two weeks previous I had suddenly lost my beautiful Song to cancer and my heart was broken.

Whilst Polly settled in quickly, she was so different to Song and it took a while for me to adjust to that.  I could feel my heart mending when I laughed at something she did, or when she put her head on my lap and just looked at me.  I swear she knew how sad I was in those early days.

Now I can't think about the day she won't be here.  She's 12 next March and has Arthritis, Cataracts and suffers from recurring corns, but she still has her moments.  She'll still throw a toy about and even have the odd zoomies.  When at my friend Hilary, she will go silly in her garden and race down her hall.

She may be an old girl now, but she still has the zest for life and enjoys it on her own terms.

A few weeks ago someone asked where I kept all my crafting stash.  Some in my desk, but it's mainly in the two large sideboards, small console table and large console table.  Then my wood mounted stamps and punches are in the shoe organiser hanging inside a cupboard in my living room.

Milestone Barn, Gimingham, Norfolk 7th - 14th July, 2018

Last week I went on my first proper holiday (not staying with family or dog sitting for my friend) for about 30 years.

I went with my friend Hilary and all 5 of our dogs (4 Greyhounds and 1 Pointer).  None of the dogs had been on holiday before.

Our cars resembled this:

I noticed an article in the Homer magazine (Greyhound Trust) about dog friendly places to stay.  Oh and they didn't charge for the dogs.  After looking at the properties that East Ruston Cottages had, we settled on Milestone Barn.  It suited all out needs, especially mine being all on one level, having a wet room, toilet frame and shower seat.

Here's their web site:  http://www.eastrustoncottages.co.uk/

Here are some of the 109 photos Hilary and I took.

The Barn
The View

My photo does not do it justice.  We sat at the dining table looking out across the valley.

Can't wait for our week in October next year.
