WOYWW 31st October, 2018

Here is my WOYWW (What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday).  If you want to know more about this weekly event, take a look at Julia's blog http://stamping-ground.blogspot.co.uk

Here's my desk this morning.  Sorry it's dark, but the bulb had gone in the ceiling light and the SAD lamp makes it look worse than it was.

A die cut decoupage topper I made at my friends crafting morning.  I've not put it onto a card yet.

I made this topper at my friends and then found the card and got it finished at home..

This is the last die cut topper I made at my friends and then made it into a card at home.

Happy WOYWW.

  1. What gorgeous projects, Sue - I particularly like the poinsettia card. Very 3-D! A lot of work but what beautiful results.

    Happy WOYWW,

  4. Sue, your Christmas decoupage cards are beautiful, lucky person who receives!
Thank you for sharing and I hope you get that bulb sorted soon, there's not enough light for creativity this side of the year.

  5. Wow, that decoupage is really clever, love the snowmen and the wreath. Are they tricky to make? The SAD lamp is bright but they're brilliant at their job!

  6. Love those cards and toppers Sue. Your desk looks suitably spooky for Halloween too, so don't worry about the lighting. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #8

  7. Soshi, Thank you. The down side of decoupage is they'll cost more to post, as they won't go through the smaller slot.

    Claire, Thank you.

The light is supposed to give out daylight, as it is a SAD lamp (Season Affective Disorder).

Shaz, Thank you. I do enjoy doing them.

Tracey, Thank you. That SAD lamp has enough light to craft by, as it gives out daylight.

LLJ, Thank you. the die cut decoupage I find easy, as you just push them out of the sheet and layer them as numbered. I would not do the original decoupage, where you have to cut everything out.

I'd be lost without my SAD lamp and it's great to craft by:)

    Sarah, Thank you.

I looked back at the photo and you are right...spooky:) LOL

  9. Gorgeous cards Sue. Hope you manage to get your lighting sorted, it looks quite moody but not good for crafting. Have a great crafty week and a happy woyww, Angela x18x

  10. Your projects are beautiful, Sue. I love decoupage and used to do it a lot at one time. You've reminded me of how effective it is. Glad to see I'm not the only one with a poorly lit desk today. Have a graag week. Elizabeth X #22

  12. Helen, Thank you.

    Angela, Thank you.

Actually the SAD lamp gives off an extremely bright light, so it made the rest of the room look very dark. Plenty of light to craft by.

    Elizabeth, Thank you.

Desk was very well lit, that's what made the room look so gloomy.

    Dorlene, Thank you.

  13. Argh Sue, you are my barometer, if you’re starting on (beautiful) christmas cards, then I surely must! As long as you’re SAD light still works, you’ll be OK. It does look really strong when you face it in the dark doesnt it!

  14. Julia, Thank you. I don't make many of my own, as I buy from a Greyhound charity.

I had to put a spare bulb in the SAD light the other week. It has two bulbs. I have one spare now.

  15. Thanks for your return visit, Sue, and I’m glad you like my scarf and our pretty kitties! We think they are the most beautiful in the whole world but then we are probably a bit biased! They behaved very well at the pet service.
